eyepatch

0 said
It was initially for Jo because she accidentally left hers somewhere (I can't remember now where) and so after looking around all over the place for a new one, we realised that eyepatches are expensive T_T And so! In an attempt to help out a friend and at the same time make myself useful, I cut up some old jeans that nobody wore/could fit in that was not even post-millennium-style (up until now, that is) anymore, as well as a skirt I've never worn/can't fit in anymore, some black shoelaces (I've never used, ok!), and made an eyepatch using them.

And thus, another hideous piece (yes I DO realise my sewing sucks, who am I kidding? XD) :

And if you're cringing at the thought of anyone getting that as a gift and wear it even in the private (LOL), I've decided to use it for myself. It's too embarrassing to be given to anyone. Sorry Jo couldn't help you out ;P Even my sister asked me, "You're going to give THAT to someone? *scared face*". Here she is, modelling it out, ;P (tho it may look that way, the eyepatch isn't senget - she didn't tie it properly =P)

Just one of those trying-hard-to-be-creative-but-failing-miserably-attempts, I guess.

handphone pouch

Boredom+In need of a proper handphone pouch+extra denim material from used jeans I've cut up a few months ago = A ridiculously simple snuggly denim handphone pouch for my E210 (in which I'll call it 'Nii' because 'Ni' means 2 in Japanese, and my 'lucky' number is 2).

Thus, the horrendous-but-I-don't-care-cuz-I'll-be-the-one-wearing-it-anyway result:

hppuch

And yes, I meant it to stick out a bit like that because I don't like handphone pouches that practically 'swallow' the handphone- makes it hard to take 'em out in an instant. And another annoying trait for pouches - having to tie knots and whatnots at the top because the pouch is loose? Yep, deeply annoying for me. So although it's laugh-worthy, I'm satisfied by it. I'll be decorating it with something later if/when I feel like it =D

hobo-jordy bag [O]

From Craftster.org :

Someone asked for a tutorial of my hobo-jordy bag. So here it is!

First step: drawing the pattern.

schema hobo-jordy

This is the scheme. I hope it is clear enough.

Fold you paper in two. Then draw!
It measures 15 cm from A to D
20 cm from D to E
24 cm from B to C
2 cm from A to B (to form a perfect square in the upper-left side)
the line from C to E is hand-drawed.

Once you have the base pattern, you cut a strip of paper that measures 4 cm x 60 cm, or as much as you prefer, depending on how long you want the straps to be. Remember that you can always decide to cut them shorter, but they will never grow up longer!

=)

Join the strap to the rest of the pattern. This way.

schemahobo2

Using the pattern, cut two part of outside fabric and two of lining leaving the seam allowance that you prefer.

hobo1

Right side facing, sew on the sides as shown in the picture.

hobo2

Always right side facing, turn the sewn part to the center so that you have those two little "empty" corner on the sides. Sew where shown.

hobo3

Now take those corner and sew them, as shown. It's the old Jordy trick! =)

hobo5
hobo7

Do the same with the lining, but leave a part unsewn. I prefer leaving the centre-bottom.

hobo8

Turn the outer fabric part on the right side and the lining on the wrong side.
The outer part goes into the lining. This way the right sides are facing.
Pin (and baste, if you are not as lazy as i am...) and sew following the entire border of the bag and straps.

hobo9

give a nice shape to the straps.

hobo10

Now turn everything inside out, letting the bag passing through the hole that you left unsewn in the lining (thanks Jordy!!! %)
The most difficult part is to turn the straps inside out... so be patient!!!

hobo11

Hand sew the hole once you have the bag on the right side.

hobo12

Now stitch all around the bag (and straps, of course!)

hobo13

Et voila! I added two inside pocket. Remember to sew them on the lining before you build the bag! ;)

hobo14

Tie a knot on the straps. The bag is ready!

hobo15

You can add a pressure button to close it.
Hope you like it and that the directions are clear.
I'm sorry, my english is not perfect!! =)

my round table mirror plastic stand broke, and so i need a new place to hold it. found some plastic cardboard (in yellow, no less XD) and so cut it into sun-inspired flames as the place to glue the mirror onto. the sunny mirror is placed on the wall. ^_^

made these a few years ago, due to boredom (and inspiration?)

used ikea wooden 3r photoframes (bought 4 for RM10 i think?), PVA glue, scissors, poster paint, toilet paper, magazine cuttings and random mini buttons & labucis.

photoframe

still have no idea when or why to use them. they're still in my drawer, never been used. i don't have any intention of giving them away tho, for now at least.

sigh. ;P
